theme: “calming blue sky”
As we become grounded within the new year, it is important for us to remember to share our thoughts and feelings with ourselves and each other to help us feel calm like clouds. After a January of welcoming change and new beginnings, we can easily fall back into old ways and patterns which might not be serving us in the best way. So for this theme, we will focus on opening the throat energy centre which connects to communication, creativity and authenticity.
Enjoy bringing this theme into your daily life this month and as always, take what you need and leave what doesn’t serve you!
“calming blue sky” MEDITATION
Time: 10 minutes
When to practice: TO FEEL COSY AND RELAXED
Get comfortable, close the eyes, and shake out all the wiggles! Relax the whole body, shoulders, face, jaw, tummy, arms, hands, legs and feet. Imagine you are laying on a soft white fluffy cloud, resting here all comfy and cosy...It feels so nice to be here...You look up and see the bright blue sky above you...The sun has got his hat on today, thank you sun! You are so warm here, the sun is shining down on your face...You slowly start to drift high into the sky...You hear the sound of birds flapping their wings beside you...And notice other clouds slowly and calming passing you by. Feel like all worries are melting away from you...

Breathing exercise: “calm cloud breath”
Sit up tall, or lay down on your back, resting your hands on your tummy and heart. Breathe in slowly, and then as you breathe out, round your lips (like when you drink from a straw), lift your chin, and gently blow out a lovely, slow, calm breath. Breathe in again, round your lips, and breathe out slowly…Repeat several times and feel as calm and light as a fluffy cloud.
