THEME: “HEALING FOR WHEN FEELING OVERLOADED”

This theme is all about HEALING and the need for taking care of yourself when feeling overloaded. These days in particular, there is a lot we can not control which can be scary, but there are few things we can: Taking deep breaths, being present in the moment, flowing with uncertainty, being kind and compassionate to ourselves and others, snuggling your pets, and nurturing yourself and your loved ones.

This healing toolbox is designed to help with ensuring you and the little ones around you are supported, to help you heal through these challenging times, and move forward in a positive, relaxing way the best you can.

MEDITATION guidance

Watch the short explainer video by Jen, that describes how to settle in with a meditation.

healing meditation

length: 5 minutes

when to practice: as often as you need

When feeling overloaded, let’s take the stress away, find your breath and your place of relaxation. Know you are enough and doing the best you can. Let your worries melt away.

Get as cosy as possible even with pillows and blankets if that’s what you need! For the next few minutes you will be led through a guided meditation, so if you are new to this all you have to do is to listen to the words that you hear. Try to stay still and relaxed in the body and mind if you can, but don’t worry if you wriggle or your mind gets a little busy at times. Know you can come back to the words, to the body, and to the breath.

HEALING MANTRAS

EXTRA RESOURCES AND ACTIVITIES

HEAL THE MIND

Remind yourself of three things each morning that you are good at or that make you who you are. To heal the self we must start with healing the mind and the thoughts.

MAKE A NOTE

Make a note of the things that you really need right now in this moment to help you. Maybe it is sharing the load, maybe it is using a breathing technique like “Three Healing Breaths” or the “I Am Enough” Mantra. Maybe it’s as simple as reassuring yourself you are doing the best you can. Be aware of your needs and nurture yourself.

HEAL AND REPLENISH

Be sure you take time to heal during your busy week. Imagine yourself as a jug of water: Every time you give out emotional and physical energy, your jug becomes depleted and will eventually run dry! Take moments to heal and replenish yourself to ensure you won't be running on empty and able to stay as healthy as possible.
